For your information, my SACE result of TER 93.45 does not allow me to be offered a place in the Medicine programme in University of Otago. However, instead of being blocked outside the gate of New Zealand, a sudden call from agent around 8 pm that day, does change my destiny (maybe my future too)!
Seems like my route towards politics will be longer than I expected and planned. Previously, my plan is Medicine > Service > Public Health > Service + Politics > Politics (full time), yet I was now offered with Health Sciences First Year, which may lead to Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree. Hence, now I need to rearrange my plan again. How ah? Frankly speaking, I do not really know yet; I need to understand where Pharmacy Degree will lead me.
New Zealand is totally stranger to me. I do not know how Kiwi people behave, of course I hope nothing bad. I know very little about Kiwi, mostly I found from website about history of Land Under White Clouds and places around the university. In fact, the thing that I mostly concern is the course itself. Seven subjects in the first year, bla bla bla… Just pray for me, I will be great sooner or later.
Anyway, I need to show my gratitude to Professor WB and Professor IT that let me step into the gate of Otago. In fact, JPA as my “backbone” also inevitable from being thanked (remember JPA as the officers asserted). Then, not forget my parents, especially my dad who need to “thick-his-face” to borrow money from my relatives in order to settle a number of payments. The list goes on to lecturers, teachers, friends…
All right, my mission is coming nearer and nearer, as the date of departure is around 16 Feb. 2009. Ha-ha, I just cannot register as voter before I fly to NZ, so should I come back to Malaysia when I am 21? Wish me luck.
